Plain English Summary
You buy my tools, you own your license forever. Use them on as many of your own machines as you want. Don't share your license, don't crack/reverse-engineer them, don't use them for anything illegal. If something goes wrong, I'll try to fix it, but I can't guarantee perfection. That's basically it.
License Agreement
When you purchase a tool from Minor Keith:
- You receive a perpetual license for the major version you purchased (e.g., v1.x)
- You can install it on unlimited machines that you personally own or use
- The license is for a single user (you)
- You get free updates within that major version
- Commercial use is allowed
Example: Buy PortCleaner v1.0, get all v1.x updates free. When v2.0 releases, you can keep using v1.x forever or upgrade at a discount.
What You CAN Do
- Install on all your personal computers (desktop, laptop, work machine)
- Use for commercial projects and client work
- Move your license to a new machine when you upgrade
- Keep using your version forever, even if I stop selling it
- Request support via email
What You CAN'T Do
- Share your license key with others
- Resell or redistribute the software
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or crack the software
- Use it for illegal activities
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices
- Claim you made it
Team/Company Licenses
The standard license is per-user. If you need licenses for your team:
- Each team member needs their own license
- Volume discounts available for 5+ licenses
- Contact me for team pricing
Warranty & Liability
What I promise:
- The software will generally work as described
- I'll fix critical bugs when reported
- I'll provide email support for license/installation issues
What I can't promise:
- The software will be perfect or bug-free
- It will work on every possible system configuration
- It will meet all your specific needs
Limitation of Liability: My total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software. I'm not responsible for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect damages. Always keep backups!

Support
I provide support via email at [email protected]. I'm a solo developer, so:
- Response time is usually within 48 hours
- I prioritize critical bugs and license issues
- Feature requests are considered but not guaranteed
- Support is in English only
Termination
Your license is perpetual - it doesn't expire. However, I reserve the right to revoke licenses that are:
- Being shared or resold
- Used for illegal activities
- Obtained fraudulently
If your license is revoked for violation, no refund will be provided.
Updates & End of Life
I'll support each major version for at least 2 years from release with critical bug fixes. After that:
- You can keep using your version forever
- Updates may stop, but the software won't stop working
- I'll give 6 months notice before ending support
Open Source Components
Some tools may include open source components. These components retain their original licenses. Full attribution is included in the software documentation.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of the United States.
Changes to Terms
I may update these terms occasionally. Changes apply to new purchases only - your existing licenses remain under the terms you agreed to when purchasing.
